Well, if you happened to travel in the tri-weekly Intercity Express, you wouldn't have posted this comment. :) Slow or whatever, trains are in demand on this route.
MYS - MAJN via HAS is better option for day journey...
In MG era there was a train in the day to MAJN from MYS..what happened to that after conversion to BG...16517/16523 made to run via MYS with ODD time...
where as the shortest route 16515 is not up to the mark...

Right MG day train should get re-introduce via MYS and another night train via ASK is also required. no need to wait till HAS-YPR new line completion via NMGA
Karwar - Yeswanthpur tri weekly day time exp. should run daily via. Mangalore central.
3 days via MYS and 3 days via ASK with avg speed of 45-50 kms would make this successful.
Converting this useless day time exp into a ONT will also help.
