No DD in India is runaway hit except for JP DD! ADI DD and MAS DD are satisfactory and rest all are flops. DD should be redesigned, making available non-AC coaches as well as sleeper coaches, if possible.
Still Brindavan Express is enjoying very good patronage even after introduction of DD. So, its a win-win situation for both IR & passengers. Counter points: 1) People paying more fare for AC. So its not unfair if DD is running ahead of Brindavan. 2) So that AC people can travel in DD & more people who couldn`t afford AC can travel in Brindavan. So... more...

I agree that Brindavan is still getting patronage, but in lieu of increased number of UR coaches, ticket availability for 2S reserved coaches is reduced. One point should be noted here... From SBC end, there are two intercity trains one behind the other (IC and Lalbagh) with 2S reserved coaches. But from MAS end, there is only one train and that is Brindavan.
