This is a ridiculous decision. Instead of augmented to 26 ICF coaches in all trains and additional new train facilities in the under utilized sections ,IR is thinking opposition.
It reduces patronages but slightly increase revenue that too cursees of the passenger which are not good for IR.
Nowadays in Tamilnadu most of the Cinema theatres are running with 10 to 20 % patronages with huge fares and lost its importance.

Indeed a very negative decision :-(
Please don't always think to increase current fare. We are already fed up with enough increase in prices.

very negative decision . The fare increase without the budget discussion . There is no point if this is the way railway cuts the common man's pocket . I am just wondering when court is curbing the surge pricing on ROAD , WHY NOT ON RAILWAY . They are just blackmailing the common man for the "demand & supply " rule .
This is completely absurd decision by RM under NDA gov. ...It is going to impact badly on travelers.
Even, if he want to do it should be on 75% occupancy and process should be transparent . As well as then ARV should be 1 month max.
