Operation of trains between Lucknow and Varanasi via Sultanpur will become faster due to double track. At least 50% of the 148km track between Lucknow and Varanasi has been doubled. On Tuesday, commissioner railway safety carried inspection of 18km of double track between Lambhua-Maharani Pashchim-Koiripur stations on Lucknow-Sultanpur section. The track on Wednesday was opened for operation of trains.

Single line difficulties kisko nahi pata. Doubling and electrification should have been completed years ago. But still later than never. Should be speeded up and both Amethi and Ayodhya lines works should be done simultaneously
