* Ultimately the net effect of all the relevant factors need to be considered before taking a final decision over the any matter.
* Cutting of trees is 2800 undesirable as it will lead to additional 61MT CO2 emissions per year.
* But metroIII shall eliminate a large number of cars and buses from road and their pollution which reduce the CO2 emissions by whopping 9907T per annum.

In totality, Net effect is Metro is an environmental protection project which will reduce CO2 emissions and suspended particles from Mumbai.
* Denying environmental clearance to such projects is like being pound fool & penny wise.
* However, at least an equal number of trees should be planted at suitable location in lieu of removal of trees.

U seemed to be unknown to the topography of the city that's why ur just talking anything. the city has lost almost all the green cover and there hardly any green cover left this is last parch available if that goes then there will be only bldgs and ppl but no forest where will our children and old ppl stay??? Even after constructing metro where is the guarantee that all the people will use metro. People won't leave their comfortable car seat and travel in crowded trains. If they want to construct metro they can pull down high rises and construct it there.
