SHS-train 1997-2004- China upgraded conventional Railway network on war footing(India 2007 is busy conducting large number of studies and agreements with several nations.
(2) HST- China commissioned first HST line in 2007 and in 10 years have more than 20000 RKM HST (more than total 50% HST in world). * China imported technology, studied, reverse engineered and redeveloped it in a span of 12-15 years and today biggest manufacturer of HSTs.
* India is likely to commission first HST by 2025. India can commission at the most 12000-15000 RKM HST (GQ+Other important sectors) is possible in next 3-4 decades. 20000 RKMs of HSTtrack will take at least 50 years against just 10 years of China!

Just carrying a huge number of passengers like cattle in local trains & unreserved coaches at cheapest cost with huge ticketless travel does not make a Railway system great.

Males and females of China had toiled hard over last few decades, in factories, services, agriculture etc to collectively boost the production and GDP of China, there by making it No.2 economy in the world, second only to mighty USA.
(2) For any country to develop fast, its citizens have to work hard for the al round development (economic, educational, technological, military, medical etc) of nation. In India, teeming with largest number of youths in any country of the world there is a great opportunity to develop fast like China.

Democratic India which divided into several kind of political vote banks on the basis of religions, castes, regions, languages, categories etc by our power hungry politicians, the national interests normally take back seat, so is the development of nation.
(4) Most of the Indians want easy life & shortcuts to achieve every thing in life, and want freebies from the nation and very less are willing to contribute for the development of nation.
* Not satisfied with subsidised loans/ interest free loans, Indian Farmers want loan waiver and want to earn easy money instead of working hard and repay load.
* A large number of Corporates connive with Govt/bank official to loot country by not repaying loan.
* Large number of Govt officials want to earn money to grant permissions to industries/businesses rather than proactively working to help them increase GDP of nation.
* Private sector is interested in earning huge (black income) profits and pay little salaries to their employees and taxes to govts.
* Poor as well as pseudo poor demand free or cheap food rather than demanding respectable jobs.
* A large number of students want to pass exams by resorting to unfair means, instead of studying hard and excell in exams.
(5) Do not want to pay taxes for development of nations, a huge fraction of well to do citizens pay no or very little than the lawful tax due to them. With only 1% Indians paying taxes (mostly salaried class, a large fraction being in govt. jobs), scenario is grim.
