Correct... This decision was based on feasibility studies and willingness of private companies to spend on these Station Projects. Even though Ranchi is a slightly smaller population and a much smaller Railway Station than Patna, however the buying capacity of Ranchi is far ahead to that of Patna. Railways conducted a study of the possibility and paying capacity of average passenger in every station. Patna station currently caters to a very huge percentage of economy passengers. They might have not found takers for such projects. The other indicators the prove this theory are: Ranchi is smaller than Patna but still has larger number of High End Hotels, Has One 5 Star Hotel, Many large scale Malls, 7 Multiplexes, BMW, AUDI and Mercedes Showrooms whereas Patna only has 2 Malls and 1 Multiplex.
