Aj jis track ka maintainance kar rahe hain, 8 month baad phir se uska maintainance chaalu, fir se late hogi train. Ye cycle chalta hi rahega, bhagwan jaane kab rukega.
I feel they should focus and invest heavily on better signalling system and tracks (especially on the outers of big junctions ) rather than increasing the MPS. This way trains can clear the section more swiftly and would not have to wait on the platform.
When capacity utilisation exceeds 100%, it means trains are being operated during the maintenance time resulting in maintenance backlogs. When such backlogs accumulate to unmanageable levels, long/cpmplete maintenance blocks become a necessity.
