* Yet another eye-opener for IR. IR should realise that it is consuming a very slow poison of inefficiency and bad decision making which is leading it to a silent death since last 70 years.
* Surat, the fastest growing metro city in the world, had been given a raw deal by IR. While RMs were busy draining scarce IR resources, laying rail lines to their backyards and operating trains for almost every city therefrom. And IR bureaucrats were busy planning and operating IR to serve their own backyards (i.e. Rly HQs), potent and deserving cities like ST are getting utterly neglected.

93% growth of airtraffic from ST is phenomenal, and a clear shift of paxs from ac rail travel to air. IR is serving ST with a very small & underdeveloped station. AC class paxs have reduced and SL class paxs have increased by about 2000.
* with planned 1250km short distance Mumbai-Delhi expressway, and others and planned electric vehicle promotion, very bad times are ahead for IR, which is busy enjoying its monopoly over the most cost-effective transport mode and going for innovative means of looting ACIII,ACII,ACC class paxs, which is the main stay of profit giving paxs class.
