Rapid Metro for NCR being planned to connect Delhi-Meerut/Alwar/Panipat shall be newly developed corridors with trains operating upto 180kmph where as the four routes planned by Maha Metro shall use the existing tracks which are already saturated NGP-Bhandara/Katol/Wardha routes. These 120kmph metro trains shall be like "Rajdhani Passengers" with speed greater than long distance ME trains thereby adversely affecting the operation of the later.
