Interesting to see that this one is going to be a coal-fired locomotive. I believe the NMR had shifted to oil-fired locos during the last few years. This one would have escaped the conversion to oil-fired as it was in preservation at that time.
Yes, it was the only one to be Coal fired. This was preserved to operate using Coal. Coals which came to ONR shed were not good quality so this loco had a garbage space for a long time. It will be good to see it's running.
