waltair line par eloco chalte 6 months se jyada hone ko hai. electrification ho chuka hai , doubling ka kuch portion hi bas bacha hua hai
It is pending from years just bcoz of illegal settlements along the railway lines not bcoz of land acquisition (as nearby lands adjacent to lines belongs to railways).
And also railway is not entitled for their rehabilitation as they are illegally settled.
State govt. knows most of their votes comes from these settlements and also it needs crores of rupees for their rehabilitation (as dislocating them to somewhere else will lead to loss of votes to that particular local constituency and also it's too costly to have them settled in city area for...

भाई चेतन और दुबे जी, ये रायपुर- धमतरी Branch को अलग थलग पड़ी अवस्था से बहार निकालने का एक मात्र रास्ता इसको दुर्ग- जगदलपुर बनने वाली नई लाईन पर बालोद से जोड़ना है। इससे भविष्य में बस्तर Area से दिल्ली/ नागपुर/ मुम्बई जाने वाली गाड़ियां राजधानी रायपुर/नया रायपुर से होकर भी जा सकेंगी व धमतरी
भी अलग थलग अवस्था से बहार आ जाएगा। इस लाईन के बिना Raipur skip हो जाएगा जो कि एक बहुत बड़ा minus point होगा। देर सवेर Railway को ये लाईन बनानी तो पड़ेगी।
