** JBP-Gondia-Raipur intercity is very badly required, the 408 kms journey may take around 8 hrs due to slow speed in JBP-G section. JBP-G- 236 kms- 5:00 hrs G-R 172 kms-2:50 hrs ** Amarkantak route via BSP-Katni is longer 518 kms and the travel time is 9:30 hrs **... more...
This may be operated as day time intercity JBP-dep-6:00 & R-arr-14:00, R-dep-14:45 & JBP-arr-22:45. ** It would be highly beneficial if combined train JBP-Gondia-Raipur/Nagpur is operated with JBP-Raipur & JBP-Nagpur trains amalgamate/bifurcate at Gondia & run combined on Jabalpur-Gondia section. ** But saturation of the NGP-Raipur route may play spoilsport in this case
02274 JBP CAF triweekly is useless in between G & CAF (Due to non-stop run & CAF is 11 kms far from BPQ) if same rake was used for JBP R ICE then this will become more beneficial for railways in view of response in its starting days. If railway wants, they can use this same rake for Raipur & Chanda fort as a triweekly service for both the destinations.
