The station design incorporates the essence of Omkareshwar, showcasing paintings and information about the pilgrimage site, Narmada River, and nearby heritage and tourist attractions. The project is in various stages of completion, with 139.62 km between Ratlam-Indore-Mahu completed, 60.65 km between Sanvad-Khandwa complete, 5.51 km between Mahu-Patalpani nearing completion, and 20.7 km between Omkareshwar-Mukhtiyar targeted for completion by December 2025. The section between Patalpani-Badia is targeted for completion by February 2026.
