Railway Board to amend level crossing norms, station masters' body opposes move
The Railway Board has instructed its zones to identify level crossing gates that can remain open for road traffic at all times. Currently, these gates are only open for vehicles when no train is approaching. This move has been opposed by the All India Station Masters' Association due to safety concerns.
