also I noticed that tatkal ticket for this train from gaya to ndls was not available from the beginning. Is there any reason for that ?

I have a confirmed ticket till GAYA. Can I extend that to Delhi ? any possibilities ?
Most probably, this will not cnf. There is too much of rush specially in Rajdhani and Gaya has quite a less quota.
No, you can't t extend your journey, unless the seat is vacant. If it is, then you can pay the fare to TTE and extend. If your seat is assigned to some other pax from Gaya, you will need to vacate it. You can speak with TTE and see if he can accommodate you somewhere else post you pay
