Back in the 80s, SER issued fuel economy books to all steam engine drivers to both inform them and to ask them to enter records on it(like how much coal used per day). A railway employee M Sanyal was asked to feature illustrations on it to make it less drab and enjoyable. Here are few images from that index book.
