Current update on the ongoing doubling work at SSPH, after the last updates /blog/post/1606708 and /blog/post/1330465 . Great news, the 2nd line has been laid fully with all required electrification work. Now it is connected from both the sides, KSBP and MSDL. The new PF has been ready (almost ~ 95%). . Down 22614 Haldia (HLZ) - Chennai Central (MAS) Weekly Superfast Express (also known as Sangrami Express) slowly passes by Satish Samanta Halt (SSPH) again with a massive offlink (Itarsi(ET) based WAM 4 #21396). God knows when this train is going to get a regularized permanent loco link between VSKP and HLZ. Date: Oct 3, 2015, Saturday.

A few snaps taken at Satish Samanta Halt (SSPH) and in between SSPH - Mahishadal (MSDL) showing the doubling work status. Only a small stretch (near the Hijli Canal bridge) of ~ 2-3 kms is left. Rest of the part has already been doubled, and in working condition. Date: Oct 3, 2015
