PWD is a govt. agency and no assurance has been given to look into the ways of working of PWD/ monitoring by the Govt. to avoid occurences of similar accidents in the future.
It has been reported that a large number of old bridges in the city are in similar condition.
Just fixing the responsibility of accident/ finding the escape goat is not a permanent solution of the problem.
