Gujarat government and the ministry of railways will sign an MoU worth Rs 67,000 crore for the ambitious Mumbai-Ahmedabad Bullet (high speed) train project in the upcoming Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit beginning January 10. The Bullet train project has an estimated total cost of Rs 97,000 crore, and a project schedule of six years.
Gujarat government will bear 25% of the total project cost according to the National High Speed Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRC), which is the implementing agency in the Union ministry of railways. The Gujarat government will give land and facilitate implementation of the project.
The train will travel between Sabarmati station in Ahmedabad and Bandra Kurla complex in Mumbai. In Gujarat, the Bullet train will have stops at Anand, Vadodara, Bharuch, Surat, Bilimora and Vapi. In Mahrashtra, the train will stop at Boisar, Virar, Thane and then BKC.

Success of MUM-AHM HST depends on many factors, some are with in the control of IR/Govt and many are out of control.

Govt/IR need to manage it in a better way and try to replicate the Japanese Shinkanshen Model which is financially performing best among all the HSTs including the rich European countries like France, Germany, Italy, Spain, GB etc.

conditions are similar to Japanese conditions i.e. very high traffic potential, The major factor which have to be managed is to keep the prices as low as possible so that a substantial fraction of Middle class, upper middle class can afford it.

Economic performance of India in next 8 years is the most crucial factor, if GDP/per capita income increase at fast rate, and benefits passed on to all classes (not just the riches), the paying power of public shall be high enough to avail the HST trains.

But the current trend in Indian economy, where state govts & central govts are competing to give almost all kind of subsidies/ privileges to strengthen their vote banks does not gel well for the future of Bullet trains. A major portion of subsidies are syphoned off and give rise to black money. Instead subsidies should be provided to manpower intensive industries so that people get employment and become financially strong.

Delhi Mumbai Industrial corridor under implementation is expected to bring in much needed development along the MUM-AHM HST route and a good stream of paxs is expected after some years of operation of HST.

If everything goes to plan, Sabarmati railway station will see its first train originate from there in March next year. Western Railway has decided to construct five platforms which will be able to handle stoppages of 24-coach trains.
Divisional railway officer Rahul Agarwal said construction work has begun and is likely to be completed by January . The officials said Sabarmati will serve as an alternative to Kalupur, especially for trains originating from Ahmedabad and headed towards Delhi.

The railways has been getting nearly 200 complaints everyday about coach cleaning.
The DRM also said that barring platforms 8 and 9, all platforms will have lifts. Platform 12, like the platform 1, will have an escalator.

पुष्पेन्द्र सिंह। गुजरात को देश की पहली बुलेट ट्रेन की सौगात साल 2014-15 के रेल बजट में मिली थी। हालांकि साठ हजार करोड़ रुपए का यह प्रोजेक्ट प्रधानमंत्री नरेन्द्र मोदी की महत्वाकांक्षी परियोजना है। इसके चलते न सिर्फ केन्द्र सरकार बल्कि राज्य सरकार ध्यान केन्द्रित किए हुए। बुलेट ट्रेन को लेकर जापान औद्योगिक सहयोग एजेंसी (जेआईसीए) फिजिबलिटी अध्ययन कर चुकी है। इस प्रोजेक्ट के लिए जापानी डेलिगेशन भी लगातार गुजरात के चक्कर लगा रहा हैं। 15 फरवरी को भी जापान के अंतराष्ट्रीय मामलों के मंत्री मोरीसी तोशीबा के नेतृत्व में एक डेलिगेशन गांधीनगर में मुख्य सचिव जीआर अलोरिया से मिला। डेलिगेशन ने मुख्य सचिव के साथ अहमदाबाद-मुंबई के बीच चलने वाली बुलेट ट्रेन को गति देने को लेकर कई अहम मुद्दों पर चर्चा की।

स्टेशन को टर्मिनल बनाने को गति
साबरमती रेलवे स्टेशन को टर्मिनल बनाने की काफी समय से मांग उठती रही है, लेकिन बजट में उसकी घोषणा नहीं की गई। फिर भी प्रधानमंत्री मोदी का राज्य होने की वजह से साबरमती रेलवे स्टेशन को टर्मिनल करने का काम शुरू हो गया है, जहां मौजूदा समय में साबरमती रेलवे स्टेशन पर तीन प्लेटफार्म हैं, लेकिन मुंबई-दिल्ली �के बीच ट्रेनों की संख्या बढऩे से अब प्लेटफार्म की संख्या बढ़ाकर पांच करने का काम शुरू हो गया है।
मुंबई-दिल्ली की ट्रेनों को नहीं मिली गति
वर्ष 2015-16 �के रेल बजट में गुजरात के लिए कोई भी नई ट्रेन की घोषणा नहीं की गई थी, लेकिन ट्रेनों को विस्तृत करने और उनकी गति बढ़ाने और परिवर्तन की घोषणा की गई थी। दिल्ली-मुंबई के बीच ट्रेनों को गति देना था और इसके लिए पटरियों को मजबूत करना था। जिन ट्रेनों की गति 110 एवं 130 किलोमीटर प्रति घंटा है। उनको बढ़ाकर 160 से 200 किलोमीटर प्रति घंटा करना, लेकिन अभी तक इन ट्रेनों को गति नहीं मिल पाई है।
दोहरी लाइन को गति
वर्ष 2015-16 के बजट में वटवा, अहमदाबाद, साबरमती और �सुरेन्द्रनगर- राजकोट के बीच रेल लाइन को दोहरीकरण करने को हरी झंडी दी थी। हालांकि वटवा-साबरमती के बीच दोहरीकरण का काम शुरू हो गया। इसके लिए बजट भी आवंटित कर दिया गया है।

नहीं लगा रेल नीर प्लांट
वर्ष 2014-15 के रेल बजट में �अहमदाबाद में रेल नीर प्लांट बनाने की घोषणा की गई थी, लेकिन रेल नीर प्लांट को लेकर रेल प्रशासन गंभीर नजर नहीं आया। वहीं अहमदाबाद रेलवे स्टेशन पर सोलर सिस्टम लगाने की भी घोषणा की गई थी, लेकिन बजट नहीं होने से फिलहाल यहां सोलर सिस्टम लगाने का काम अटक पड़ा है। हालांकि अहमदाबाद रेल मंडल कार्यालय पर सोलर सिस्टम लगा दिया गया है।
ये भी की गई थी घोषणा
अहमदाबाद-महेसाणा, मोरबी-टंकारा-राजकोट, उमरपाडा-नंदुरबार, मांडवी- न्यू भुज, खंभात-धुवारण के बीच भी सर्वे की घोषणा की गई थी। वहीं वडोदरा रेल मंडल के उतराण-अंकलेश्वर, मकरपुरा-वडोदरा, आणंद-गोधरा के बीच दोहरीकरण लाइन का सर्वे की भी घोषणा गई थी। भुज-नलिया के बीच आमान परिवर्तन की भी पिछले बजट में घोषणा की गई थी।�
ये हैं मांग
- पश्चिम जोन का मुख्यालय अहमदाबाद में बनाने की मांग की जा रही है। यह माना जाता है कि पश्चिम जोन में छह मंडल हैं, जिसमें मुंबई, वडोदरा, अहमदाबाद, राजकोट, भावनगर और रतलाम रेल मंडल हैं। मुंबई और रतलाम रेल मंडल गुजरात से बाहर हैं बल्कि अहमदाबाद, वडोदरा, राजकोट और भावनगर मंडल गुजरात में हैं। इसके चलते पश्चिम जोन का मुख्यालय अहमदाबाद को बनाए जाने की मांग उठ रही है। हालांकि मौजूदा एनडीए सरकार ने पश्चिम जोन का मुख्यालय अहमदाबाद बनाने से नकार दिया है।
- जनसाधारण एक्सप्रेस अहमदाबाद से पटना के बीच सप्ताह में एक दिन चलाई जाती है, जिसे वाया वाराणसी होते हुए नियमित चलानी चाहिए। अहमदाबाद �से वाराणसी के बीच चलाई जाने वाली साप्ताहिक ट्रेन को भी नियमित चलाने की जरूरत है।
- अहमदाबाद से आगरा फोर्ट के बीच चलने वाली इस ट्रेन को ग्वालियर तक बढ़ाने की मांग उठ रही है। यह माना जाता है कि अहमदाबाद से शाम को रवाना होनेवाली आगरा फोर्ट करीब आठ बजे तक पहुंच जाती , जो करीब बारह घंटे तक आगरा फोर्ट पर खड़ी रहती है। यदि इस ट्रेन को ग्वालियर तक बढ़ाया जाए तो ग्वालियर, मुरैना, भिंड के यात्रियों को काफी आसानी हो सकती है।
- पालनपुर-भीलडी मार्ग ब्रॉडगेज हो गया है। इसके चलते इस मार्ग परभी ट्रेन बढ़ाने की चाहिए ताकि जोधपुर की ओर जानेवाली यात्रियों को आसानी हो सके।

સ્ટેશન ખાતે સતત વધી રહેલા ટ્રાફિકના ભારણને હળવા કરવા માટે રેલવે તંત્ર દ્વારા કવાયત હાથ ધરવામાં આવી છે. જેના ભાગરૂપે અમદાવાદ રેલવે ટર્મિનસ ઉપરાંત બીજું ટર્મિનસ સાબરમતી રેલવે સ્ટેશન બનાવવાની કામગીરી શરૂ કરી દેવામાં આવી છે. સાબરમતી સ્ટેશન ખાતે ટર્મિનસ શરૂ થતા દિલ્હી સહિત ઉત્તર ભારતની તેમજ સૌરાષ્ટ્ર તરફથી આવી ઉત્તર ભારત તરફ જતી ટ્રેનોને સાબરમતીથી જ લઈ જવામાં આવશે જેના પગલે અમદાવાદ સ્ટેશનું ભારણ ઘટતા ટ્રાફિક સહિતની સમસ્યામાંથી મુક્તિ મળશે. સાબરમતી ખાતે પ્રથમ તબક્કામાં 5 પ્લેટફોર્મ તૈયાર કરવામાં આવશે. સાબરમતી સ્ટેશન ખાતે શરૂ થયેલી આ તમામ કામગીરી રેલવે બોર્ડની સીધી દેખરેખમાં કરવામાં આવી રહી હોવાનું રેલવે અધિકારીઓએ જણાવ્યું હતું.
અમદાવાદ રેલવે સ્ટેશન પરથી હાલ દરરોજ સરેરાશ 175 જેટલી ટ્રેનો અવર જવર કરે છે જેમાં આશરે 2 લાખ જેટલા પ્રવાસીઓ દરરોજ અમદાવાદ સ્ટેશનની મુલાકાત લેતા હોય છે. જેના પગલે સ્ટેશન ઉપરાંત બહારની તરફ અવારનવાર ટ્રાફિક જામની સમસ્યા સર્જાતી હોય છે. વધુમાં અમદાવાદ સ્ટેશનથી દર વર્ષે 6થી 7 નવી ટ્રેનો પણ શરૂ થાય છે. અમદાવાદ સ્ટેશન ખાતે ટ્રેનોનું વધુ પડતો ટ્રાફિક વધતા ટ્રેનોની સાફ સફાઈ તેમજ મેન્ટેનેન્સની સમસ્યા સર્જાય છે. હાલ અમદાવાદમાં અસારવા યાર્ડમાં તેમજ કાંકરિયા યાર્ડમાં ટ્રેનોનું મેન્ટેનેન્સ કરવામાં આવી રહ્યું છે. પરતું ત્યાં પણ જગ્યા ઓછી પડે છે. ત્યારે આ સમસ્યામાંથી મુક્તિ મેળવવા તેમજ ટ્રેનોના સરળ સંચાલન માટે હવે અમદાવાદમાં બીજું ટર્મિનસ બનાવવાની જરૂરિયાત ઊભી થતાં સાબરમતી સ્ટેશન ખાતે ટર્મિનસ બનાવવાની કવાયત હાથ ધરવામાં આવી હતી.
