this is an excellent station to reach north bihar. get down at sahibganj from 4am to 4pm. first and last ferry at 5am and 5pm respectively to manihari. from manihari one gets shared vehicles to katihar. jus 10 mins from manihari to katihar. station to ferry ghat is 10 mins/10 rs. by rickshaw...ferries at 5am, 7am, 11am, 2pm, 4pm...timings subject to minor changes.
From Jan till May due to less water in Ganga stream near SBG ferry services start and terminate at Samda Ghat (Sakrigali Jn), a station towards Howrah side.
