Alight here to a catch a bus for Athani-Vijayapura. People traveling from Belagavi can have half train and half bus journey to Athani-Vijayapura. Bus stop is just 300 mtrs, near over bridge
Even this Bus route was Demand for New line frm shahbad/wadi-Bijapur-Shedbal which might be reality in future
Right, survey for this has been completed some 5-6 yrs ago. No further announcement about this line. Some time ago even CR has also sent a proposal for Miraj-Athani-Bjp line, which CR claim, it will bi-bifurcate from Arag(Pvr route), whereas SWR says it will bifurcate from Sedbhal(Bgm route). Have to wait for final sanction.
Yeah both are good Routes infact CR going by road route it seems which will be shortcut to Bijapur from Miraj via Arag and Athani where as SWR thinking line should be inside Karnataka and SWR region to avoid zone interchange problems.
