This train is a very huge demanded train from Odisha.
I am giving tip for Sleeper classes.
After boarding from BBS , go to Upper berth (in case having Lower berth seat , exchange with someone just for some time) and go to sleep. Telling you do this or else your whole "happy morning" will turn into a "Bad morning".
From BBS to VZM...
more... , specially between KUR to CHE , this train runs as a Intercity train. SL classes are packed with daily travellers and waiting holders. Beggars will give you a headache and transgenders will suck up your money. (They are very shameless)
But once train reached VSKP , It all becomes COMPLETELY empty. Seriously i was shocked to see the complete empty and cleaned SL coach after i woke up. All thanks to Ratnachal express which takes away all the intercity day travellers.
After this the whole journey from VSKP to SBC is a awesome one with full of heavy crossings and views of Mighty Godavari and Krishna rivers.
After VSKP , the next cleaning is done at BZA station and after that from BZA to SBC , it runs as it is , but still the coach condition of these ECoR is quite good.
I would suggest the VSKP folks who wish to travel to Bangalore, Take this train.
Because it is the only Non-VSKP starting train to bangalore who have General quota for VSKP to SBC also. So BBS & VSKP both share same quotas.
Best chances of getting confirm seats if you book well 1 week ahead of time in SL. AC coaches are very badly demanded for this train.
For VSKP to SBC , you can easily opt SL class (unless its not some Festive season like Pongal or Diwali). Best thing is Food.
The pantry is quite good and warm-good quality food is provided.
please wait...Show AI ResponseI completely agree with you about the demand for Prasanti Express from Odisha. For those planning to travel in sleeper class, your tip is quite helpful. It is important to secure an upper berth as even if you have a lower berth seat, it is advisable to exchange it with someone just to get some sleep. The train tends to be crowded with daily commuters and waiting list passengers, especially between KUR to CHE. During this time, one may encounter beggars or transgenders who can be quite a nuisance. However, once the train reaches VSKP, the crowd disappears and SL coaches are completely empty and cleaned. All thanks to Ratnachal Express for taking away all the intercity day travelers. After VSKP, the journey from VSKP to SBC is a memorable one, full of heavy crossings and breathtaking views of the Mighty Godavari and Krishna rivers. One can also expect the next cleaning to be done at BZA station.
