MFP is an A1 category station on papers & according to Railway Authorities but one will hardly find any facility that an A1 category station of Indian Railways Should have. This Station don't have Coach position indicators, chart Display boards, AC Waiting hall but these thing would be available soon as tender has been passed for that. Two entrances are there, one from the North side & another from the South. Escalators are present at the North side entrance but they mostly remains non-functional throughout the day. North Side entrance also have two ATMs, one of SBI and the another of IDBI Bank. Their is a newly opened "Food track" also at the North Side Entrance. South side is a little bit Deserted and you will have to walk a reasonable distance to get any public transport facility. You will also find many "PAN-BEEDI' & "GHUTKA'' shops running on illegally encroached...

This A1 category station which is one of the Highest Earning station of ECR & SONEPUR division doen't haveCoach diplay Boards. So you simply don't know where your Coach will come. Sometimes you will have to travell a lot of distance to board you Coach.
SBI ATM is situated on the eastern flank of the junction.
* Just coming down the right FOB near the escalator, towards the front side out of Platform no. 1, near general ticket booking counter, you may get you instant money.

Mai to kabhi ispe rely nahi karta, aate samay 0 mile ya gandak pul ke paas ke atm se paisa nikal leta hu
mujhe utna nahi pata..... par bus stand k pass bhi ATM's hain (flyover k pass) and imlichatti bus stand.
