Ulagazhanda Perumal temple: This temple is one of 108 Divya desams according to Tamil mythology. This temple is dedicated to Vamana Murthy, an incarnation of Lord Vishnu. The idol of Vamana Murthy is very big and carved out of single rock. Kanchi Kamakoti Shankara matam: This matam was established by Jagadguru Adi Shankaracharya. It is worth visiting.

For going to Kamakshi Amman temple share autos are available from railway station. Share auto fare is Rs.10 per person. Share auto service starts from Meenakshi hospital and ends at bus stand (passing near by Kamakshi Amman temple)
