Availability of drinking water was an issue during my journey in this train on 22nd and 23rd if October, 2016. The on-board catering was available from private organizations which provided lunch and dinner. On the first day after boarding the train at Saharanpur we received food for lunch from, so far as I remember, Express caterer who has a canteen at the platform. The menu for lunch consisted of rice, dal, paneer, achar. the food was good. At night we were served rice, dal, paneer, achar. The next day for lunch we got rice, paratha, parhar curry, achar. After the train reached Patna that day we hardly found anyone selling drinking water bottle.
