It all depends..
In morning MAS-MAQ arrives at pf 3 and 90% till return journey commences it stays at pf 3.
When the rake needs some extra care ,i think,it will be taken away from pf 3.
Mail arrives mostly at pf 2. (when maq-mas isnt there in pf 3 ,it comes in pf 3).

Before our departure by Matsyagandha, MAS-MAQ Mail was taken away from PF 2 with Passenger train arriving on the same Platform just after few minutes. Maq-Tvc departed from PF 1.
You can update both as you have more knowledge of that area than me.
