irifan2015~ 2504 blog postsFrom Mumbai side, this train is super slow after Salem. It's sibling train (via TPJ) which covers 100 kms more is faster than via KPD train. When SR rerouted avoiding KJM ED, they should have given aggressive TT in SA NCJ sector, so that it reaches NCJ by 0715.
Platform availability at Nagercoil Junction in the early morning is the issue afaik.
16339 train sibling 16351 follows 22637 / Tambaram NCJ Superfast (S,M,W) from chengalpattu, so this pathetic timetable given to the train from Salem to NCJ.

But now , CST NCJ. via Kanchi is running with good speed and jam-packed. Both have 1 loco reversal . This should also be speeded up cause it runs 4 days a week and railways should make it arrive at 07:15 AM at NCJ. I think mostly SR would be culprit in these kinda stuff.

SR trains in general have been slowed down post ZBTT right? Let's wait and watch
Kinda yes . Some of them their time table and some of them their speed.
Eg : Kerala, Kerala Rajdhani all these got their TT screwed whereas TN, GT all these got their speed screwed. All politics lol.

True and badly Missing its own TT via KJM it had Good patronage end to end then sadly got diminished now SR would probably waiting for Doubling to get complete between TEN-NCJ stretch results in speed-up & cutting off existing slack for many Exp trains.Thanks
