I saw a drastic quota reduction in the Sabari Express yesterday. Today's ARP (January 13th, 2025 and January 14th, 2025) couldn't check other days before as the train was already fully waitlisted. Earlier, the train used to have 84 lower berths from TVC to any destination, as lower berth assigning is per coach. For sure, the train must have 7 lower berths per coach in SL, which means 84/7 = 12, that is equal to 12 SL. But on January 14th, what I noticed is that the train got only 70 lower berths where 70/7 = 10 SL.

For 17230, earlier the train had a dedicated 66 Lower berths between SC to TVC but now even that is made to common 70 Lower from SC to any destination.

SC to TVC it was 86, reduced to 74.
SC to PGT it was 170, reduced to 158.
SC to TPTY it was 300, reduced to 288.

The reduction is seen in both directions as per this, the train lost 2 SLs reservation completely, booking is just done for 10 SL and no change in 3A, 2A quotas again.

What could be the reason for this reduction...?

Does Sabari Express have a parcel service at Coimbatore Junction? I wanna send some wooden chairs to Hyderabad. Anyone got the info?
