The train can be resheduled to depart late by 1 hour from TVC instead of KCVL. This will ensure a link with MAQ Mail & YPR-CAN Exp connecting North Kerala. It will be useful than the existing time where it runs between 2 trains that run via same route and arrives SRR at an odd time.Also adding more coaches and making it a 20 coach train will help improve the patronage and solve the crisis faced by commuters to a certain extent.

Last Diesel Loco run of 16528 Kannur - Yesvantpur Express departing Kannur led by ERS WDP4D #40540 Cab1 in lead.

Also maybe the last time ERS WDP4D seen in action,soon rest few will be transferred back to GOC!

Yesvantpur - Kannur Express got electric from 11 December ,from Yesvantpur.
Yesvantpur - Kannur was the last daily diesel train of this section and was delayed in getting electric mostly due to shortage of locos in SWR,which in return got more days in its diesel avatar.

Some cost saving at least. 16528 used to undergo fuelling at PGT everyday. No change in time though. Hope they consider it sometime
