They should have done this long time ago. They always had the land and in many places, tracks are even laid. Why they never went for completion, God only knows. This lateness on IR's part has led to the land being encroached upon by slum dwellers, many of whom remain stubborn.
Not possible, too many curves & populace adjacent to the track.
So that's why even SF trains are given 01:40 to 02:00 time to cover LKO CNB 71km. And still they manage to get late.
Way back in early 2000s, LC was able to cover in 1hr 30 min flat
Plus, NR controlling is shit too. CNB and LKO both waste a lot of time by making train stand at outers since the train density sometimes is too high.

With this Lko, Gkp, Cpr will get direct connectivity to Agartala. With this extension a Pantry need to attach. Also need some speed up, at least 1.30 hrs.
Otherwise from Gomtinagar it will not get enough pax.

But I think Badshah Nagar gives more pax compair to gtnr. Bju- Ljn & krishak is example. Both has stoppage in gtnr as well as badshah Nagar also, but get more pax from badshah nagar, not from gtnr.
All these stations are in lucknow itself so I don't think patronage will differ.
Plus it should get re route via GKP NKE BTH SGL BMKI MFP SPJ BJU
Badshah Nagar is old & important station in Gomtinagar area of Lko. Excluding clone trains each & every trains has stoppage in Badshah Nagar. And a huge crowd is boarding/ de boarding with only 2 platforms.

Agreed on that. GTNR isn't that well connected even via road. bnz is connected via Metro. GTNR will make a good terminal for west bound trains that can go via bnz-ash. Atleast until the Metro reaches the station, which will take time.
