From past 4 months I have been doing weekly up down between Bhopal and Jabalpur due to office work. I have done numerous journeys in almost every suitable dedicated train between BPL and JBP, be it ADTL Intercity, Janshatabdi but mainly in 22191 INDB-JBP Overnight and 12192 JBP-NZM Shridham.

more... 7th December 2023, I got the oppurtunity to travel the only Premium train of this section, newly introduced and extended 20174 REWA-RKMP Vande Bharat Express. With this I have covered all 3 VB of Madhya Pradesh.
That week almost all other trains between Jabalpur and Bhopal were either cancelled or diverted due to 3rd line work in Barkhera-Budni.
It was a bit rainy morning, when I reached station, the train was slightly late but likely to cover up due to slack and it did. There were so many passengers waiting for VB to arrive. VB arrived on time and it was almost 50% filled from previous station. decent number of passengers got down at JBP and then it got completely packed, I got a Window seat but bad-luck only 20% window was there along my seat.
Nevertheless I started recording video for my YT channel and noted down key points. Immidietly the water bottle was served and off we go.
Coming to catering, the breakfast was Ok, we got Upma, Thepla, Aloo Sabji, Curd, Tea and Muffin. Upma was tasteless but warm but Aloo Sabji and Thepla were lipsmacking, it was loaded from Satna. Lunch was served immediately after departing from Narmadapuram, its taste was also Okaish but as good as Breakfast.
Coming to its run, this train has ample amount of slack, we have reached Itarsi outer 10 minutes before and made entry on platform exactly on time. After that due to 3rd line work in ghat we made 3-4 unscheduled halt near Midghat but still it reached RKMP on time. This VB only picked 130 kmph after Barkhera.
In my opinion this train can get speedup of 30 minutes. There is no need of 10 minutes halt at ET it can be reduced to 5 when there is no Loco Change as of now Crew from JBP goes till RKMP and LPs has to go from 1 cab to other thats why its taking time but that can be changed as REWA-JBP and JBP-ET by JBP Crew and ET-RKMP by ET/BPL Crew, also JBP halt can be reduced to 5 minutes as well.
Overall it was a great journey, could've been much better if speed is more and if I would've got proper window seat. Cleaniness and Security in this train is excellent. REWA CDO is maintaining it good.

7th December 2023 ko mujhe mauka mila ki is section ke ek premium train, newly introduced and extended 20174 REWA-RKMP Vande Bharat Express me safar karoon. Isse maine Madhya Pradesh ke 3 VB trains cover kar liya hai.
Us hafte Jabalpur aur Bhopal ke beech ki dusri trains sab cancel ya diverted thi, kyunki Barkhera-Budni me 3rd line ka kaam chal raha tha.
Subah thodi baarish ho rahi thi, jab mein station pahucha, train thodi late thi lekin slack ke wajah se time cover kar legi aur woh kiya bhi. VB aane ke liye bahut saare passengers intezaar kar rahe the. VB time par pahuchi aur pehle station se lagbhag 50% bhara hua tha. Jabalpur par kafi passengers utre aur phir woh poori tarah bhar gayi, mujhe Window seat mili lekin kismat kharab thi, sirf 20% window mere seat ke pass me thi.
Fir bhi maine apne YT channel ke liye video record start kiya aur important points likhe. Turant pani ki bottle serve hui aur chalo, safar shuru.
Ab baat karte hain catering ki, breakfast theek tha, hume Upma, Thepla, Aloo Sabji, Curd, Chai aur Muffin mile. Upma tasteless tha lekin garam tha, lekin Aloo Sabji aur Thepla toh dil khush kar dene wale the, ye Satna se load kiya gaya tha. Lunch Narmadapuram se chalne ke turant baad serve kiya gaya, iska swad bhi theek tha, lekin breakfast ki tarah zabardast nahi tha.
Train ki chal ke baare me baat kare toh isme bahut saara slack hai, hum Itarsi outer 10 minutes pahle pahuch gaye aur platform me exactly time par entry ki. Uske baad ghat me 3rd line ka kaam hone ke wajah se Midghat ke paas 3-4 unscheduled rukavat hui lekin phir bhi time par RKPM pahucha. Is VB ne Barkhera ke baad hi 130 kmph ki speed gain ki.
Mere hisaab se is train ko 30 minutes speedup mil sakta hai. ET me 10 minutes rukavat ki zarurat nahi hai, jab Loco Change na ho tab 5 minutes tak reduce kiya ja sakta hai. Abhi Crew JBP se RKMP tak jata hai aur LPs ko 1st cabin se dusre cabin me jaana padta hai, isliye time lag raha hai lekin ye change ho sakta hai, REWA-JBP aur JBP-ET JBP Crew ke dwara aur ET-RKMP ET/BPL Crew ke dwara. JBP ka rukavat bhi 5 minutes tak reduce kar sakta hai.
Overall, yeh ek badiya safar tha, aur aur bhi accha ho sakta tha agar speed aur ek proper window seat mil jaati. Train ki safai aur suraksha bahut acchi hai. REWA CDO ise acche se maintain kar rahe hai.
