15633 derailment reason and responsibility of railway officers fixed by CRS.But I doubt if any strict action against traction officer was taken given that the suspended officers of Khatauli accident are on top post in WR and SR.So just another report till the next derailment as it is a common occurrence now .
Alp work profile includes for handling minor troubleshooting in loco and fine tuning the loco along with regular checks.So as the incident is related to upkeep of loco he was considered responsible even though there was not much he could have done.LP is expected to look after Alp work so secondary responsibility fixed on him.
ALP has more duties than LP ranging from checking the loco to keeping an eye for speed restrictions, spotting abnormalities during the run, obstacles on the path, signals enroute., etc.
In IR Alp is responsible for all the incompetence of frieght,c&w, engineering and traction department.In recent frieght derailments issue of brake failure has come to notice but for this also ALP are held responsible .
