No brother, even after construction of Sakleashpura-Chikkamagaluru line the problem wont go away. The bottleneck is Subramanya Road-Sakleshpura section, so nothing would change. This route will be useful mostly for freight like how Hassan-Chikkabanavara line is being used at present.
The bottle neck here is sakleshpur to subhramanya section. I dont think Chikmaglur line can solve that problem. A daily train from bjp/bgm should run via dvg, ask , has to maq
I am not from Karnataka so I am not really aware of the issues there
But what I do know about the SKLR SBHR section is that there is some agreement the Railways has signed regarding movement of freight, which restricts the no. of passenger trains in that line. However I do feel that the KAWR SBC Intercity should become daily now and another train should be introduced from Mangaluru to BGM/SUR

It will run just behind Mysuru Swarna Jayanthi from Arsikere. This should be made a regular train. On Fridays Belagavi, Hubbali, Dharwad people have just 1 proper night train-16589. No one will prefer Jodhpur train as it starts at 17:00 itself and its impossible to get a confirmed ticket in MAS-Vasco exp.
Also Jodhpur Exp takes whopping 16.5 hours to reach BGM.. and as you mentioned, in MAS-VSG status would always be in WL, even 3-4 weeks prior to the journey

Hence this had impact on 11036 Sharavati Express and 17317 UBL-LTT Express, which were late by 30 mins (at BGM).
16590 RC also arrived almost 1 hr late at BGM..
Arrived UBL at 22:15 and departed at 22:27. Reached YPR at 6:10.

So it ran on KSK timings !! Yesterday I was tracking RC, GG, KSK on UBL-SBC sector, KSK departed after GG and overtook it at Harihar but was not allowed to overtake RC.
I had assumed that 06582 would depart UBL before HYD-KOP Express, as it would have reached BGM at around 16:30, so that it could depart on time.. but it departed UBL just before Sharavati Exp..

Halted at Unkal, for RC to depart UBL.
