INTER-CITY EXPRESS TO BE SHORT-TERMINATED Train no. 18411/18412 Bhubaneswar-Visakhapatnam-Bhubaneswar Inter-City Express will be run between Khurda Road and Visakhapatnam only on June 28, 29 and 30 due to the traffic improvement works and other developmental works in the sections. Similarly, train no.58301 / 58302 Sambalpur &#8211; Koraput &#8211; Sambalpur Passenger and train no.58538/58537 Visakhapatnam&#8211;Rayagada&#8211;Koraput&#8211;Visakhapatnam Passenger will be cancelled from July 6 to July 22, according to a statement issued by the Senior Divisional Commercial Manager M. Yelvender Yadav.

In a statement issued on Wednesday, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager of Waltair Division M. Yelvender Yadav noted that the decision to cancel the service was taken to undertake traffic improvement works and other development works in the sections. A fresh decision was taken not to go ahead with the cancellation of the service.
The highly-patronised train serves the travel needs of commuters from Visakhapatnam to Kothavalasa, Vizianagaram, Bobbili, Parvathipuram and Rayagada apart from passengers going to Koraput. The proposal to cancel the train has drawn flak from the travelling public.
