There has to be more. It still doesn't explain why trains then are routed via MUR-AY-BBK as well. Plus cancellation of trains like GKP-LJN ICE which don't even touch any of these routes.
Oh, I know that. I understand your point now. I was assuming work was being done in the INTERVENING STATIONS of Burhwal-Sitapur. But if interlocking work is being done at Burhwal Jn itself, it might impact trains on the route as well.
Any idea what is the mps of that section? Not many trains take that route still. I can only think of the crawling Satyagraha to Delhi that daily takes that route to connect small stations to the national capital. Otherwise, one gets few weeklies or long distance unreserved trains[like Amritsar Banmakhi Express] on that section.

But will be upgraded to 130 soon. And this section is purely being upgraded to bypass freight traffic from Lucknow.

okay. In month of Nov, I have to board this train in order to catch Bagmati at 23:55 at DDU. Hence worried about puntuality of this train.
