Visakhapatnam bound one seems to be doing good and arriving mostly on-time.
SCR needs to somehow find a solution for this.
The congestion happens starting Rajahmundry, then Vijayawada and continues to Warangal/Secunderabad section.

This is common from last 6 months all night trains to SC from BZA line are late by 30-60 mins. Nowadays Even SC outbound trains to Vskp are also late by 30 mins on 3-4 out of 7 days.
The problem is because of VB. They are using Road CUM Rail bridge for VB to enter on PF 3 at RJY. Till that time, all the down trains are waiting at RJY.
Why any particular reason ? rail cum road bridge is fit for only 60kmph and when the train approaches near to road bridge end the speed has to come down to 15kmph upto PF. Even changing line at Kovvur need to be down to 15kmph.- 30kmph On the third bridge the MPS is 80kmph and even after that past godavari Stn it can travel at 60kmph.
I think there is a long PSR before RJY from 3rd bridge and also Road cum rail bridge is shorter distance. Just because of priority, it seems.

Thanks ,saw the run of today 12723 TG which crossed the accident spot after 15minutes of godvari derailment
.luckily one line did not suffer much damage
Will today 12728 run with reduced coaches or CDO ,Nampally will replace the damaged coach with spare coach or take out coach any other train coach ??

DrSwaroop^~ 109895 blog postsThe intensity of yesterday's derailment of Godavari Express was severe. Train derailed at flat 💯. The sleeper beds ripped out of the ballast, OHE distorted and the track was severely damaged. If it wasn't LHB coaches then it would have been a really lethal derailment.

That is the other thing pointed our by railway authorities which is the fact that because there are so many trains running nowadays throughout , there is hardly any gap to avail of blocks so that proper maintenace can be done. If scheduled blocks need to be done for long time, then trains will either have to be cancelled or rescheduled which will add to passenger inconvenience so it is a thin line in balancing both. Scheduled maintenance time for repairs and checks and at the same time ensure passenger & freight operations also run unaffected.
