sunilgaonkar 92 blog postsThe frequency of 16317/18 should be increased by one more day from CAPE to SVDK via MAO to serve as a direct connection between the two cities through shortest route. The popularity of this new route will eliminate the existing longer route.
Isn't the former route longer than Konkan why keep a train dragging when alternative exists.
well I don't think Sr will start navyug again, political pressure may work
shorter route is avbl for kerala via konkan but beyond Coimbatore, shorter one is the route which Himsagar is taking. Not every train is meant for End to end passengers. Some serve intermediate ones too.

Train No. 16317 Kanniyakumari – Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra Himasagar Express scheduled to leave Kanniyakumari at 14.15 hrs on 08.09.2023 (Today) is rescheduled to leave Kanniyakumari at 16.15 hrs due to late arrival of pairing train (Late by 2 hrs).

16318 arrived at 2am and departure time is 2 pm, 12 hrs are sufficient for maintenance
Maintenance is done at NCJ. There may be some issue to bring that rake to CAPE from NCJ.
