Sad state of Duronto Express.
In my opinion, the eastern zones (esp NFR, SER, ECoR) need to really improve in terms of maintenance. Better maintained zones are SCR, WR, SWR, SR.

Agree.. even ICF coaches are well maintained in the SR, WR.
SRC's maintenance is notorious. A premium train is fitted with an old coach which isn't maintenened as well.
This is my experience from last 14-15 years travelling in this route.

A passenger train had detailed just leaving kotavalasa junction. 2 coaches and the loco seems to have snapped out of the track. No injuries or fatalities. 12703 was stuck at VZM for over an hour. 12245 reached VZM 25mins before and left at 10:20 before 12703. After kantakapalle there's a speedy restriction in place due to the derailment.. we however have crossed the site and moving as usual towards BZA

I see so many people from West Bengal ,Odisha coming for treatment at Christian Medical College and I see plenty of Bengali/Odia/Hindi signboards and their shops behind this hospital. many places like Kharagpur, Cuttack, Kurda road, visagapattinam, Rajamundry all skipped because duronto initially had Non stop pattern so intermediate crew change halt alone came. RU, BZA, SCMN, BBS are given for that purpose only.
Valid Suggestion! In fact CMC has plenty of patient influx from those places.
