However, there has been no official announcement regarding the change in train designations or fares. This practice of converting passenger trains to express specials has been ongoing since April 2021, with South Western Railway converting 20 passenger trains into express trains with premium fares. The Railways have also decided not to run passenger trains beyond 200 km. The South Western Railway has restored pre-Covid fare structures in its zone following complaints about the hiked fares.

Lekin train ke designations ya fares mein change karne ke baare mein koi official announcement nahi kiya gaya hai. April 2021 se hi passenger trains ko express specials mein convert karne ka trend chal raha hai, aur South Western Railway ne 20 passenger trains ko express trains mein convert karke unme premium fare laga diya hai. Railways ne ye bhi decide kiya hai ki 200 km se zyada dur tak passenger trains nahi chalayenge. Hiked fares ke baare mein complaints aane ke baad South Western Railway ne apne zone mein pre-Covid fare structure restore kar diya hai.
