That line is being laid with help of massive security force for transportation of minerals in that area...Beyond Rowghat (raoghat) where mines are present , as of now there is little economic interest in extension upto jagdalpur.

For passenger train coming from vzm side existing route via Raipur will be useful...Phase 1 upto Rowghat - completed upto antagarh
Phase 2 upto jagdalpur - Only survey completed.
There's are also demands for GC of Raipur(Abhanpur) dhamtari line and extension upto Jagdalpur (which is easier option to connect jagdalpur with raipur) or connect to Kondagaon along with phase 2.
