So a new day starts with another derailment. Another day of lost lives for no apparent reason. Seems like the government doesn't care a bit about people's lives. Incompetence at its peak. A new accident every second day, it is crucial to mention that most of the zones are delaying trains in the name of maintenance. Gods know what maintenance they're doing.

Air India before govt. took over it belonged the Tatas and was a world class airline and govt. forcefully nationalized it. So it was rightfully returned back to the original owners.
Besides I even don't support full scale sale of all PSUs it will be a total administrative mess too. That's why gradually disinvestment by allowing public shareholders is a good move.
But why should the govt. support loss making PSUs with taxpayers resources ?

Yes, so only I said state government should be allowed to run. KSRTC, TNSTC, TSRTC, APSRTC I feel they run lot better services so they can be given passenger services while private can take over luxuary services like Maharaja, palace on wheels, whatever such things planned in future. DFC slots can be given to private freight trains. No issue. Same way State government can given some more options like maintaining stations, providing shops inside station in the exchange of providing space for bus stops and other neccessary services. The entire amrit bharat scheme would have been handed over to local govt and state govt. those painting and other improvements doesnt help any functionality. Let IR develop operational things like pit lines, stable lines, more PF, signalling etc. IR can still take logistics by expanding HCPV concepts. RORO concept can be expanded.
