Ideally slack should help to cover already delayed time, not just run by it.
Yes I am well aware of that fact. But I meant according to the Time Table of the train, it departs Moradabad at 08:48 am and reach New Delhi at 12:00 pm which means it takes 3 hours 12 minutes to cover the distance instead of 4 hours 20 minutes pointed out by you.
MB-NDLS average time 2h45min. But VB ke chakkar mein IR doobta ja raha hain Passenger Trains sector mein.
That was how the train ran yesterday. My intent was to highlight how despite slack, a late running train was delayed more with a below average speed in a section that aspires to boast increased speeds by attaining 130 in future!

Perhaps the basic reason is Malda falls under ER.

How's that mocking ?, you gave yours disregarding need for direct Faster connectivity for sparsely connected places in North East India to their National Capital. I simply gave you a more convenient solution since you require the same connectivity through Malda so dearly 😂
