That's a good point... although distance of 2212 + 82 ≈ 2300 km in 37 hrs isn't bad timing with avg 62kmph. And I suppose EKNR does have SM facilities (or will have if it's connected to more parts of the country in the days to come).
Also by that logic that tourists won't go till Ektanagar/Kevadiya but halt at ST/ADI (where I slightly may differ), then EKNR shouldn't have any long distance trains at all, including the one to Chennai (20919/20) which also includes rake reversal! Recent reports suggest Statue of...

Furthermore, we have 12315/16 via PNBE - which is a quite popular train. 03109/10 follows the exact same alignment till SWM, so no reason why it wouldn't click. And Nagpur bound trains are controlled by SER, not ER, and we certainly do not want even one single train via Nagpur anymore - given the superb punctuality and prioritizations of SER, SECR and CR zones!
