Separately, the 32nd Central Council meeting of the East Central Railway Employees Union was held in Patna. Discussions included issues concerning the sub-divisional hospital in Patratu, including the need for more beds, lady doctors, x-ray operators, lab technicians, essential medicines, and coolers in the mortuary and each ward. The meeting also raised concerns about employees working over 10 hours, deductions in mileage, poor condition of railway housing, inadequate roads, lack of clean drinking water, and the need for a park for children and a club for employees. The union decided to hold protests if these issues are not addressed by the railways.

The 04814 Howrah-Barmer Special train will depart from Howrah at 3:00 PM on Thursday, reaching Dhanbad at 8:50 PM and Kanpur Central station at 10:00 PM on Friday. It will reach Barmer at 4:30 AM on the following Saturday.

A TTE (Ticket Examiner) was severely injured after being beaten by a passenger on the 12321 Up Howrah-Mumbai Express train in Gaya. The incident occurred when the TTE asked the passenger to show their ticket. The RPF and GRP police apprehended the accused passenger at the Gaya Junction.

Gaya mein 12321 Up Howrah-Mumbai Express train mein ek yaatri ne TTE ko ticket dikhane ke liye kaha to usne TTE ko bahut maara. Is incident mein TTE ghayal ho gaya. Gaya Junction par RPF aur GRP police ne aaropee yaatri ko pakad liya.

Terminus Mumbai Howrah Mail will have a stop at Parsabad in the Dhanbad division starting January 15, 2024, in both directions. Other additions include a stop at Mazhgava for the 15159/60 Chhapra Durg Chhapra Daily Express, and stops at Jatwar for the 11071/72 Lokmanya Tilak Terminus Ballia Lokmanya Tilak Terminus Kamayani Daily Express and the 15205/06 Lucknow Jabalpur Lucknow Chitrakoot Daily Express. The 18205/06 Durg Nautanwa Durg Weekly Express will have a stop at Maihar. These stops are temporary for a duration of 6 months. The 15053/54 Lucknow Chhapra Lucknow Daily Express will have a stop at Karimuddinpur station and the 15231/32 Barauni Gondia Barauni Daily Express will have a stop at Yusufpur. The exact dates for these stops will be announced by the local rail administration. Passengers can take advantage of these temporary stops, which are subject to review based on increased revenue at these stations. If the revenue increases sufficiently, these temporary stops may be made permanent.
