Chhapra Junction se chalne wali sabhi trains, jaise ki 15159-15160 Chhapra-Durg Express, Chhapra-Auridhar Passenger, Anand Vihar jaane wali Sadbhavana Express, Barauni-Godiya Express, Swatantrata Senani Express, aur aur bhi passenger trains, ab apni normal schedule pe chal rahi hai. The Varanasi City-Darbhanga Express, the Ahmedabad-Darbhanga-Ahmedabad Express (19165-19166), the Lokmanya Tilak Terminus-Raxoul Express, and the Chhapra-Surat-Chhapra Special (09065-09066) will now run via Chhapra-Ballia instead of the diversion route. The Chhapra-Lucknow and Utsarg Express services remain suspended for the time being.

Terminus Mumbai Howrah Mail will have a stop at Parsabad in the Dhanbad division starting January 15, 2024, in both directions. Other additions include a stop at Mazhgava for the 15159/60 Chhapra Durg Chhapra Daily Express, and stops at Jatwar for the 11071/72 Lokmanya Tilak Terminus Ballia Lokmanya Tilak Terminus Kamayani Daily Express and the 15205/06 Lucknow Jabalpur Lucknow Chitrakoot Daily Express. The 18205/06 Durg Nautanwa Durg Weekly Express will have a stop at Maihar. These stops are temporary for a duration of 6 months. The 15053/54 Lucknow Chhapra Lucknow Daily Express will have a stop at Karimuddinpur station and the 15231/32 Barauni Gondia Barauni Daily Express will have a stop at Yusufpur. The exact dates for these stops will be announced by the local rail administration. Passengers can take advantage of these temporary stops, which are subject to review based on increased revenue at these stations. If the revenue increases sufficiently, these temporary stops may be made permanent.

Pranjeev Saxena, conducted a safety inspection of the new doubled rail section and third line on Sunday, along with the Chief Administrative Officer Construction, SC Srivastava, Divisional Railway Manager Vineet Kumar Srivastava, and other officials. After conducting trials at a speed of 120 kmph on the new line on Sunday evening, the operation of trains was allowed. All trains that had been suspended in the past few days have resumed operations from Chhapra Junction. This includes trains like the 15159-15160 Chhapra-Durg Express, 13105-13106 Sealdah-Ballia-Sealdah Express, 15111-15112 Chhapra-Varanasi City-Chhapra Intercity Express, Chhapra-Aurihar Passenger, 13137-13138 Kolkata-Azamgarh-Kolkata Express, Chhapra-Jalna Special Train, Varanasi City-Darbhanga Express, 19165-19166 Ahmedabad-Darbhanga-Ahmedabad Express, Lokmanya Tilak Terminus-Raxual Express, and 09065-09066 Chhapra-Surat-Chhapra Special Train.
