The Northeast Railway administration released helpline numbers for major stations immediately after the derailment of the 15904 Chandigarh-Dibrugarh Express. The General Manager of Northeast Railway, S. Mathur, Divisional Railway Manager/Lucknow, Aditya Kumar, and other senior railway officers reached the site and reviewed the rescue efforts. Several trains, including the Gonda-Gorakhpur passenger (05094), Gorakhpur-Gonda passenger (05031), and Gorakhpur-Bahraich-Gorakhpur passenger (05131/05132), were canceled. Several other trains were rerouted, with their routes varying from train to train. The routes were changed to avoid the affected section and ensure the safe passage of passengers.

Northeast Railway ke General Manager, S. Mathur, Divisional Railway Manager/Lucknow, Aditya Kumar, aur dusre senior railway officers accident site par pahuche aur rescue efforts ka jaayza liya. Kai trains, jaise Gonda-Gorakhpur passenger (05094), Gorakhpur-Gonda passenger (05031), aur Gorakhpur-Bahraich-Gorakhpur passenger (05131/05132) cancel kar di gayi. Kai trains ka route bhi badal diya gaya, aur har train ka route alag alag tha. Route badal kar affected section se avoid kiya gaya aur passengers ke safe passage ko ensure kiya gaya.

The Sampark Kranti Express (train numbers 12565 and 12566), which runs from Darbhanga to New Delhi via Muzaffarpur, will have a general bogie added on November 12th and 13th. To accommodate this, an AC third-class bogie will be removed. This information was released by the East Central Railway Headquarters.
