A passenger on the 18238 Amritsar-Bilaspur Chhattisgarh Express lost a valuable necklace worth ₹2.5 lakhs while traveling from Bhopal to Durg. Another passenger found the necklace and returned it to the CTI. The passenger was relieved to have his necklace back, and the railway administration commended the CTI for his quick thinking and dedication.

The train had already entered the home signal and could not be reversed. Other trains, including the Samata Express, were diverted to platforms 2 and 3, limiting the impact to the Chhattisgarh Express. OHE insulator replace karne me, uske baad train platform pe move kar payi. Train home signal ke andar aa chuki thi, so reverse nahi ho sakti thi. Aur bhi trains, jaise Samata Express, platform 2 aur 3 pe divert ki gayi, is wajah se sirf Chhattisgarh Express affect hui. Train pehle se hi 1.5 hours late thi, aur last me 3 hours late chali.

LHB coaches, developed by Linke-Hofmann-Busch in Germany, are considered to be more comfortable and safer than ICF coaches. Initially, 24 air-conditioned coaches were imported from Germany for Shatabdi Express. Subsequently, after technology transfer, Indian Railways started manufacturing LHB coaches in Kapurthala, Chennai, and Rae Bareli. Indian Railways plans to replace all ICF coaches with LHB coaches to provide greater safety and comfort. Currently, 19 trains will have general coaches attached to LHB coaches. This new facility will be available in the 18237/18238 Korba-Amritsar-Bilaspur Chhattisgarh Express from May 22nd in Korba and May 24th in Amritsar. Similarly, the 18239/18240 Korba-Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Itwari-Korba, Shivnath Express will offer this facility from May 23rd in Korba and May 22nd in Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Itwari.
