master at Chaube station was alerted and stopped the train at 7:21 AM. The fire was brought under control with the help of railway personnel and fire extinguishers, preventing a major incident. The train resumed its journey towards Dhanbad at 7:48 AM. According to Assistant Sub-Inspector Arun Kumar of RPF, smoke near the wheel can sometimes occur due to brake binding in moving trains. He stated that after the situation normalized, the train departed again.

The Senior Divisional Commercial Manager, Lucknow Division of North Railways, Rekha Sharma, confirmed that a team was dispatched to the site to clear the track and minimize disruptions. Passengers experienced inconvenience due to train diversions, and there was confusion at Badshahnagar station regarding the arrival of the 15084 Utsarg Express. Passengers complained about faulty announcements and the station master's lack of clarity regarding train schedules.

Cancelled trains include 12470 (Jammu Tawi-Kanpur Central Express), 14816 (Rishikesh-Shri Ganganagar Express), 14887 (Rishikesh-Barmer Express) on April 18th, 14815 (Shri Ganganagar-Rishikesh Express) on April 19th, and 14888 (Barmer-Rishikesh) on April 20th.
