Separately, the zonal member of the South Eastern Railway, Arun Joshi, has advocated for a direct train service between Ranchi and Jaipur. He highlighted the significant number of individuals from Rajasthan residing in the state, along with those commuting for business purposes. The lack of a direct train connection poses considerable inconvenience for these passengers. Joshi urged Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma to request the Railway Minister to extend the route of train number 12825, Jharkhand Sampark Kranti, to Jaipur and introduce a weekly train service from Ranchi to Ajmer/Jaipur. He mentioned that the Ranchi-Ajmer Garib Nawaz Express, which operated before the COVID-19 pandemic, has been discontinued. The Chamber of Commerce and various social and religious organizations, along with several MPs from Jharkhand and Rajasthan, have also written to the Railway Minister regarding this matter.

Due to yard remodeling work on the Adra-Kharagpur rail section at Piardoba station on the South Eastern Railway, several trains have been diverted. Some trains have also been partially canceled. Howrah-Ranchi Express will travel via Kharagpur-Tatanagar-Chandil-Purulia-Kotshila on its return journey. The Gomo-Kharagpur Express will operate only till Bankura and return back to Gomo. Train number 18024 Gomo-Kharagpur Express will run till Bankura only on April 26th, 27th, 28th, and 29th. Train number 18023 Kharagpur-Gomo Express will also return to Gomo from Bankura for five days. For passenger convenience, the Dhanbad-Bhubaneswar Special Express has been extended till June 30th. Train number 02831 Dhanbad-Bhubaneswar Special will run from May 1st to June 30th, and Train number 02832 Bhubaneswar-Dhanbad Special will operate from April 30th to June 29th.
